Are you ready to give your home a fresh new look without breaking the bank? If you love thrifting, crafting, and decorating as much as I do, you’re going to love this!
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a bit, you probably already know how much I adore thrifting, crafting, and decorating. It’s practically in my DNA—I just can’t resist!
So, the other day, while browsing through the thrift store, I stumbled upon this adorable topiary ball and vase. Instantly, my creative juices started flowing, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Sometimes, the simplest ideas turn out to be the cutest, don’t you think?
Nearly everything you see on this table was a thrift store find. I’m all about creating, making, and DIYing. I even crafted this coffee table myself. Curious to see how I did it? I’ve got a blog and a Youtube tutorial where I spill all the details.
But let’s get back to the home décor. When I saw that I could snag the topiary ball for just $3 (what a steal!), I couldn’t resist. It’s funny how the most random things end up being the most fantastic finds, right?
In case you’re feeling inspired to recreate this look, I’ll drop some links below for you to easily find the supplies. By the way, I couldn’t find the topiary for $3, but I did find a couple at a very reasonable price.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Glass vase with a wide opening
- Faux Topiary
- Twine
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue
Pro tip: If you’re on the hunt for a budget-friendly vase, check out your local Goodwill or thrift store. That’s where you’ll score the best deals. Alternatively, you can use a tall drinking glass if you’re not in the mood for thrifting.
Once your Hot Glue Gun & Glue is heated up, add a small amount of glue at a time and place the Twine over it. If you add too much glue at once, it’ll cool down before you can apply the twine. And remember, be careful when adding the twine—use a stick or wooden spoon to press it down to avoid burning your fingers.
I added a shell to mine for a touch of coastal flair, but you can get creative with your decorations. Then, simply place the topiary on top. Voilà! Easy-peasy home décor!
