One of my FAVORITE things to do is creating bright and whimsical bedrooms for children with special needs. This entire room was transformed for Maya, a beautiful 15-year-old girl who suffers with Autism. Volunteers from my nonprofit organization, “Paint For Children” share their time and talent to give back to children with disabilities. Come see how we created this beautiful room in just two days.

My Top Projects for 2017
Wow! Can’t believe 2017 is over. It feels like it goes by in a blink of an eye. There were so many great memories made, goals accomplished and ups and downs along the way. But, I must admit it was a fabulous year. When I look back on all the furniture I painted, homes that were transformed, kids I made happy when they saw their room for the first time and clients who look in awe when I finished a job they commissioned me to do in their home, it makes all the work I did worth it.
I’m looking forward to the new challenges for 2018 and the what the new year will bring. I know God will guide and direct my life to for fill his purpose and the road he has designed for me.
After reflecting over the year, I want to share my top 10 Projects and Blog posts with you!
A Garden-themed Girls Bedroom Makeover
What little girl doesn’t like a garden filled with flowers and butterflies. This room was created for Meredith a little girl who spends most of her time indoors because she suffers from a rare disorder call Dravet syndrome (epilepsy).
How to Design a Race Car Boys Room
All boys love cars but this little boy is special. Daniel has Down Syndrome and Autism and unlike most children he can’t go out and play on his own, Daniel need constant supervision so he spends most of his time in his room playing with his favorite car Lighting McQueen. So we designed a race car boys bedroom just for him!
Nautical Bedroom for under $500
It all started with a 10-year-old boy (Kai) with Cerebral Palsy and Autism who loves boats and the water. A special needs child gets a special room makeover and we get to make another child smile.
Ivana’s Big Girl Room
Painting It forward
I’ve been blessed with an amazing opportunity to paint it forward for children with disabilities. In 2016 I started a nonprofit organization called “Paint For Children”. Ivanna’s room was completely transformed in one day thanks to the help of Ray Mayo who painted the dresses and accessories on the wall.

Make A Child Smile
One of the greatest gifts you can give a child with special needs is your time and talent. If you would have asked me 6 months ago what Prader-Willi syndrome was, I honestly would not have known. In-fact I didn’t know what any special needs syndrome was a year ago, until God lead me on this new journey…….Wait until you see the video of the reveal, it will definitely tug at your heart strings.
