Are you wearing all the hats in your business?
If you find yourself constantly busy and not enough time to get everything done in your business, it could be your fault.
I hate to be the one to tell you this: you can’t wear all the hats and have a successful business.
I’m telling you this because this was me a few years ago. My To-Do-List never went away in fact it just kept getting longer and longer without an end in sight. I felt like I was constantly working, and the business just wasn’t growing as fast I wanted it to.

Like you, I was overwhelmed and tired and frustrated. Wondering why I’m working so hard and going nowhere.
We didn’t start this business because we wanted to work 24/7. We wanted to be in business to do what I love, have time freedom, and make enough money to live a nice lifestyle. Right!
So, what are we doing wrong?
Here’s the hard truth:
We are wearing all the hats. “You can’t do it all and expect to grow.”.
Let me tell you what I did that made my life soooo much easier and helped me grow my business.
I stopped doing the things I wasn’t good at. I stopped doing the things I didn’t like doing. I stopped wearing all the hats.
Here’s what I did. I made a list of all the things that need to get done in my business
Then I check off the ones that only I can do and maybe one or two things I like to do. And hired someone to do the rest of the busy stuff.
You are probably saying, buy Cheryl, I can’t afford to hire anyone right now. And I’m going to tell you, YES you can.
I’m going to use myself as an example:
I bought a course on how to edit pictures and videos for my posts. I spent $300 on the course and $35 for the App. Thinking this can’t be that hard to do. I spent one whole day trying to figure this out. The bad news is I only got one video done.
My point is, this one video cost me an entire day’s pay ($$$) PLUS $335.00.
I’ll admit, I’m not good at this. So why did I spend all day trying to edit one picture when all I had to do is send it to someone on Fiverr who would do it for $7.
If you try and do it all you will stop doing the one thing that you love and the reason you started this business in the first place.
Spend your time doing things that are going to bring in revenue to your business.
There are two things I love doing, painting and coaching. I absolutely love helping other women start their own business and I also love DIYing and painting. So, I learned a long time ago to hire people that are good at what they do and stay in my own lane.
Here’s my challenge to you. Find someone to help you with the things you don’t want to do and the things that you’re not gifted in. Things that will free up time so you can focus on money-generating activities. It could be a family member or friend. You can also find help on LinkedIn, Facebook, Facebook groups (Search, Virtual assistant).
Make a list of all the tasks you do daily/weekly/monthly
Then check off the ones you can delegate to someone else
- House cleaning
- Mowing your lawn
- Grocery shopping
- Pool cleaning

- Formatting Blogs
- Posting on Social media
- Customs pins Pinterest & Instagram & Facebook
- Schedule Newsletters and Blogs
- Photo Editing
- Website designer
