I’ve been blessed with an amazing opportunity to  paint it forward for children with disabilities. In 2016 I started a nonprofit organization called “Paint For Children”. Ivanna’s room was completely transformed in one day thanks to the help of Ray Mayo who painted the dresses and accessories on the wall.

Meet Ivana

Meet Ivana Gonzalez a beautiful 8 year old little girl that suffers from Apert syndrome. Apert syndrome is a generic disorder that causes abnormal development of the skull, distorted shape of the head and face, and other birth defects. About one in 65,000 babies are born with Apert syndrome. Ivana has already undergone 39 surgeries for her head, hands, feet, nose and other parts of her body to help her live a comfortable life. Ivana is a gift from God.

Ivanna's room before

This is Ivana’s room before the transformation.  The goal was to turn the her little girl room into a big girls room. Ray Mayo with New Life Creative Painting,  Michelle Renner with Palm Beach Artisan and Cheryl Phan with Artzyfartzycreations.Com volunteered their time and talent to create a space that will bring joy and inspiration to Ivana for many years to come.

Dresser BeforeDresser After

We where very fortunate to have furniture donated to us by Kay Tonini,  owner of Vintage  Journey Market. As you cans we took the outdated dresser and transformed it into the adorable pink dresser.

Nightstand AfterNightstand After

The nightstand was also refinished to match the dresser.

Chalk PaintDistress -after painting

We used Rust-OLeum chalk paint and distressed it, to give it a shabby chic look.

Wallpaper DresserApply wallpaper

Wallpaper was added to the front drawers and lined on the inside to give it that extra touch.

Purse

A couple of girly accessories highlight the corner wall.

Feather lamp

This is my favorite. I hot glued a feather boa to a lamp shade for a little extra glam.

Girly Girl Room

Thanks to Ray Mayo, our amazing artist for creating this beautiful mural on the wall.

The room was painted a soft pink and wrapped with purple stripes below the chair rail.

Pock-A-Dots and Swirls dance around the entire top half of the room and pretty dresses and accessories create the missing pieces for a special Girly Girl room for Ivana.

Ivanna’s room reveal

The final reveal. Every little girl deserves a room fit for a Princess!
