Create a fun room for your kids in one day
One of my favorite things to do is to paint kids’ rooms. Watching them walk into their room for the first time is magical. Painting something as simple as this can have your child jumping for joy.
You don’t have to be artsy to design a fun and colorful wall in your kids’ room. All you need is tape and paint.
Step 1
I randomly applied 1” blue tape (low tack) to this wall. I just ran the tape down the wall and started creating different size blocks until I covered the wall.
Step 2
Selected 3-4 paint colors you want to use. You will only need a quart of each color. Before you get started painting in the blocks, I would suggest adding a splash of paint on each block, so you don’t end up with the same color next to each other. Using 4 or more colors will help avoid this from happening.
Check out my blog on Perfect Stripes Every time so you don’t have any bleeding.
Using a small roller, start painting in each of the blocks. Once you’re done painting the blocks remove the tape.
And now you have a fun geometric colorful room for your child.
Here’s another room that was done with the same idea, but I did it all in triangles instead of rectangles.
